I'd love to know of that Rots was really Rots with a given name such as Jean which is usually French. Same with Claude. I'll have to do a bit of digging to see if I can come up with something. If I do, I'll let you know.

LucieLucie LeBlanc Consentinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13480035657625949265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33970917.post-3205048244790400032011-05-09T14:35:29.300-04:002011-05-09T14:35:29.300-04:00Lucie, in preparing a Memorial Day list of Revolut...Lucie, in preparing a Memorial Day list of Revolutionary War soldiers of Londonderry I found the following names- Ambrose Vicker, John Grear, Claude Colombon, Joseph Coste, and Jean Rots. They are listed as being from Exeter, but the bounty was paid by Londonderry. Don't they sound like French names to you? Have you run across these men anywhere as being Acadian?Heather Wilkinson Rojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17704949156266722016noreply@blogger.com
