More mtDNA results and lineages were added to the Acadian Ancestral Home today. I have also spent the past couple of days proof reading all of the indexes volunteers have created for the many cemetery pages on my web site. I got a group of people together and we should have all of the proof reading caught up sometime tomorrow. Indexes were piling up with not enough proof readers.

By the way, we could use a few more volunteers if anyone reading this blog would like to help. There are only 18 cemetery pages that no one has committed to indexing. We'll get them done but the more the merrier. I just cannot say enough about the volunteers who have been working at this for a month now and the quality of their work to say nothing of their spirit of commitment and generosity. Words cannot express my gratitude.

If you want to be part of a great genealogy list you might want to subscribe to
Acadian-French-Canadian-L-request@rootsweb.com - we call it the AFC list for short.

We have a great group of people on this list. The list was created to help folks searching for their Acadian Ancestors from the Canadian Maritimes or for their French-Canadian ancestors from Quebec. In other words it is for researchers from New England, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Ontario, Newfoundland, Magdelene Island, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Quebec. Many on the list are very generous in helping others and it is a group.

You will be surprised to learn that we had no snow today (smile). The weather is getting milder and it will rain tomorrow. However, the forecasters promise us great weather for Christmas Eve and for Christmas Day. What more could we want?

Hopefully all of you have finished your Christmas shopping - if not enjoy the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping the next couple of day!

Love,

Your cousin Lucie
