Dear Cousins,

If you live within driving distance to Boston, tomorrow morning I will give a presentation on the Acadian deportation at the New England Historical and Genealogical Society (NEHGS) on 101 Newbury Street, Boston - time 10:00a.m. I hope to see some of you there. The presentation title: The Struggles of the Acadians. It begins with the deportation of the Acadian from the Chignecto Regions - aka Beaubassin area.

My son-in-law will videograph the presentation and hope to be able to post it on You Tube.

Other than that more mtDNA results and lineages and have post to the Acadian Ancestral Home Just click on mtDNA Proven Origins at the top of the sidebar.

It is snowing a bit this evening but the roads are supposed to be clear in the morning.

This is short and sweet this evening. I still have some preparation to do for tomorrow morning.

Wherever you are, be happy and enjoy the journey toward Christmas.

Your Cousin Lucie

My name is Brian Thibodeau but this concerns my maternal side - I spent a great part of my younger years looking on every map of Nova Scotia I came across looking for Peter the Great until finally I went to my maternal grandmother Delores Lee nee Boudreau who laughed and told me that they called it that but it really was Petit-de-Gras, where her grandfather was Port Captain Fougere - any one with news along these lines I would love to here from you anyone from around Arachat.
